TIME FOR A U TURN IN EUROPE – WHAT´S TO BE DONE?

28-29 February 2012, Brussels

PROGRAMME

Objectives:

To identify common trends and analysis of the crisis and characterization of the failures of the EU policy responses

To facilitate an exchange between economists, academics, and activists involved or working with national movements who have been dealing with different aspects of the crisis and on different levels (national/cross-national and EU level).

To strategise on alternatives and modes of resistance, particularly in light of the initiative towards a new inter-governmental treaty

The seminar aims to be a dynamic exchange between participants from core and periphery countries and those working at national/cross national and EU levels.

The conclusions of the debate will be systematized and if appropriate will feed into the Anniversary Conference of Corporate Europe Observatory (CEO) entitled Europe in Crisis: Analysis, Resistance and Alternatives to Corporate Europe in Brussels on May 5-6.
