For several years now the initiative “Ander Europa’” has been run solely by myself, in terms of both content, technical maintenance of the website and funding. I no longer consider it feasible to carry out this task properly on my own. EU policy must increasingly be viewed and assessed within a global geopolitical context. On the other hand, there are numerous ‘European issues’, often presented as improvements, but which require careful analysis to understand their deceptive nature: climate, the environment, refugees, privacy, artificial intelligence, partnerships, etc. Ideally, the editorial team of an EU-critical website should have the necessary staff on board to cover all these ‘issues’. In any case, this is beyond the capabilities of a single person.
The contract with this site’s service provider runs until January 2027. The site will remain active until then, with occasional articles, announcements and a newsletter when there is something to report. Anyone wishing to keep a particular article would therefore be well advised to download or print it in the coming months. After that, the curtain will fall on www.andereuropa.org.
